The peer reviewed journal (since 1991) biannually focuses on modern European and American literatures, with outreach to other cultural areas. It stresses the comparative approach to literature, it helps to integrate the study of foreign literatures in the light of modern literary criticism and the problems of contemporary era. Since 2015 World of Literature is an Open Access journal with online content freely available to the readers under the CC BY-NC-ND 2.0 licence.
